The summer season is quickly coming to an end. With the oppressive temperatures finally starting to drop, this is the perfect time to explore Miami’s beautiful city. The escape outside is something everyone needs after being stuck in the house for far too long. These are the four best things to do in Miami right now.

Everglades National Park

Everglades National Park is one of the premier attractions in Miami. The beautiful wetlands are simply unlike any other place in the world. You can take a hike through the swamp or rent an airboat to explore the marshes. Just do not get too freaked out if you come across a few alligators. The swampy terrain of the area makes it best to visit when the weather is a little cooler.

Biscayne National Park

Take advantage of living in the only American county with two national parks by taking a Biscayne National Park trip. The stunning park is almost entirely covered by water. You cannot beat a relaxing day paddle boarding on the crystal clear water. Guided snorkeling tours are also available to get a great look at the massive coral reefs in the area. Snorkelers can also get up close to several shipwrecked boats just below the surface of the water.

Lay Out on the Beach

If you are one of the millions of local Miami residents that avoids the beach, then now is the time to break the habit. Since most people are refusing to travel right now, there are not many tourists flooding the beaches of Miami. The lack of tourists has turned a dreaded trip into one of the best things to do in the city. Take advantage of the empty and tranquil beaches while you can.

Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens

Miami’s humid and rainy climate helps the area grow some of the most beautiful plants in the world. You can see everything the area has to offer with one trip to the Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens. The massive 83-acre botanical garden has so much to see that it will take about two to three hours to see everything. Tickets must be reserved in advance.
